Faculty Positions - Biophysical Chemistry

The Chemistry Department of Johns Hopkins University invites applications for a faculty position in the broad areas of biophysical chemistry and macromolecular biophysics; both experimental and theoretical research programs will be considered. The search is directed at the Assistant Professor level, though exceptional candidates for tenured ranks will also be considered. The Chemistry Department (www.chemistry.jhu.edu), the Institute for Biophysical Research (www.jhu.edu/ibr) and the Chemistry-Biology Interface Program (chemistry.jhu.edu/CBI) provide a stimulating environment of more than 50 outstanding faculty engaged in biochemical and biophysical research. The new position has an anticipated starting date of July 1, 2008.  Applicants should submit a curriculum vitae and description of research plans as PDF attachments to bio_physical@jhuchemistry.chm.jhu.edu, and also arrange to have three letters of reference emailed by reviewers to the same address. Mail may be addressed to Prof. David Draper, Department of Chemistry, Johns Hopkins University, 3400 N. Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21218.  Consideration of applications will begin on Nov 1 and continue until the position is filled.  Johns Hopkins University is an Affirmative Action / Equal Opportunity employer, and actively encourages interest from minorities and women.
