Kompact SEQ MALDI-TOF (Kratos, UK)
The SEQ is a MALDI-TOF mass spectrometer used for qualitative analysis of high mass “delicate” bio-molecules that cannot be analyzed by other means. It is equipped with a 337nm pulsed UV laser, a 1.7m length flight tube and a curved field reflectron can analyze both positive and negative ion species. At JHU, it is typically operated in the linear mode, though reflectron and post source decay (PSD) modes are also available if required. This instrument is located in Room B14, Remsen Hall. Instructions are available here.
